A weekend in Penrith

A weekend in Penrith

This podcast is for grown-ups.

Our Dora

Meeting strangers can be daunting luckily it’s part of my job. This weekend we met 19 strangers and assorted dogs with one thing in common, campervans!

There were small ones, large ones, old ones and new ones. The women were as varied as their vans and everyone had a story to tell.

It was great hearing about their camping adventures, exchanging information and knowing we were willing to support each other to enhance our campervan experience.

We met up at The Eden Valley Caravan Site a mile from the village of Kirkoswald. At dinner I met lots of interesting  women with great stories and I spent time chatting with Jodi and she told me about her campervan and adventures.

Kirkoswald, Cumbria is a picturesque, quaint market town surrounded by lush farmland. The parish church is dedicated to Saint Oswald, King of Northumbria its an impressive landmark. There are lots of lovely Georgian buildings and three friendly pubs in the village. It’s well worth a visit!

Thanks for dropping by.
